The app says Bedtime mode will “mute calls, alerts, and other sounds.” This wording is both precise and vague, and I wasn’t sure how to interpret it. However, Samsung’s Digital Wellbeing app doesn’t precisely communicate that it’s using Do Not Disturb mode. It also puts the device into Do Not Disturb mode - silencing notifications, vibration, and sound. When enabled, it switches the phone’s display to grayscale mode. The mode is enabled on a user-defined schedule. However, Samsung’s design doesn’t do as good a job as Google at explaining how its Bedtime mode works.īedtime mode, formerly known as Wind Down mode, is a feature that tries to encourage you to put your phone down and go to bed.
